I agree with the excellent analysis, but the solution---"a good solid depression"---might, I'm afraid, only worsen the plight of the already vulnerable. Instead, I'd like to see a "good solid" set of handcuffs clamped onto the "financial tyrants" followed by "good solid" prison sentences and no-nonsense financial penalties designed to return the ill-gotten gains to the US Treasury, i.e. the hard working, law-abiding citizenry. No bailout---collections!

Tim you are 100% correct on your comments we do not have anyone speaking for us it seems like right now the big fish are manipulating th small fish and we will pay the price if we are not careful and learn that the grass isn't as green as it appears to be.

As a Trucker with a dedicated run I have always been able to drop the trailer at the customers dock and find a parking space for my tractor at home.I wonder if more shippers and receivers would work with drivers allowing them to at least find a better chance at parking just the tractor at a restaurant or mall overnight.

Mudflap is right. He did not go far enough. Experienced safe and successful drivers are more concerned about running safely than legally. We know when it is time to shut it down. There are times that we will be forced to run longer than safe to legally complete our run. Drivers that have proven themselves hould not have to comply with nonsensile legal restrictions. We should be allowed to use our own judgment. We have proven our ability to drive safely. Isn't that what is truly important?
